Kathrin Günter has studied extensively gossip, celebrity cult and the phenomenon of paparazzi photography. Through various artistic media, formats and techniques her main body of work exposes the complex realm of celebrity culture. Parallel studies focus on the so called occultism, including “spirit photography”, “tarot” or “voodoo”, justto name a few. Her recent works combine in a critical and rather humorous way these two seemingly devious phenomena.
