Born: 1984
Jarkko Räsänen is digital artist producing photography, video and sound art. He often works also with artistic programming, such as in Kiasma’s comission photo app odo.kiasma.fi, where his algorithms offer structuralist ”filters” over user’s photographs. His works have been presented in e.g. ARS17, Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, Near Field Communication Digital Art Biennale and 4th Moscow Biennale.

The series depicts different kinds of animals: ladybird, bee, hedgehog, sapiens and worms. “With these works I want to raise discussion about the narrowing of fauna because of clearcuttings”.
